  • 10 perilla leaves
  • 1/2 onion (approx. 80g)
  • 1 egg
  • 1.5 paper cups of pancake mix (approx. 150g)
  • 1 paper cup of water (approx. 200ml)

  • 1 Cheongyang chili pepper

Cooking Instructions

First, prepare the vegetables. Wash the chives and cut them into approximately 5cm lengths. Stack the perilla leaves, roll them up, and thinly slice them into shreds. Thinly slice the onion as well. If you are using Cheongyang chili peppers, remove the seeds and finely mince them.

In a large bowl, combine 1.5 paper cups of pancake mix with 1 paper cup of water. Whisk thoroughly to create a batter, ensuring there are no lumps and the consistency is smooth. Add 1 egg and a pinch of salt, then mix again to season the batter.

Add the prepared chives, shredded perilla leaves, sliced onion, and (optionally) minced Cheongyang chili pepper to the pancake batter. Gently mix everything together with chopsticks or a spatula until the vegetables are evenly coated with the batter.
