Main Ingredients- Wild Chives 50g (fresh)
Seasoning Ingredients- Soy Sauce 100cc (approx. 1/2 cup)
- Plum Extract 50cc (approx. 1/4 cup)
- Minced Garlic 1 Tbsp
- Red Pepper Flakes 1 Tbsp
- Toasted Sesame Seeds 2 Tbsp (adjust to taste)
- Sesame Oil 1 Tbsp
- Soy Sauce 100cc (approx. 1/2 cup)
- Plum Extract 50cc (approx. 1/4 cup)
- Minced Garlic 1 Tbsp
- Red Pepper Flakes 1 Tbsp
- Toasted Sesame Seeds 2 Tbsp (adjust to taste)
- Sesame Oil 1 Tbsp
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Prepare the fresh wild chives. First, carefully remove any wilted or mushy parts. Wash them thoroughly under running cold water, paying attention to the roots, then gently shake off excess water.
Step 2
Cut the cleaned wild chives into bite-sized pieces, about 2-3 cm long. If the root bulbs are particularly large, lightly press them with the back of a knife; this helps the sauce penetrate better and makes them softer to eat.
Step 3
Now, let’s make the delicious sauce. In a bowl, combine 100cc of soy sauce for a deep flavor and 50cc of plum extract for a sweet and tangy note. Add 1 Tbsp of red pepper flakes for a touch of spice and 1 Tbsp of minced garlic for aroma. Generously add about 2 Tbsp of toasted sesame seeds for a nutty flavor (you can adjust the amount to your preference). Whisk all these seasoning ingredients together until well combined.
Step 4
Gently add the chopped wild chives to the prepared sauce. Mix carefully to avoid damaging the delicate chives and preserving their fresh aroma.
Step 5
Finally, drizzle in 1 Tbsp of sesame oil to finish with a glossy sheen and rich nutty fragrance. After adding the sesame oil, gently mix again, being careful not to mash the chives, ensuring all ingredients are harmoniously blended.
Step 6
Making this fragrant wild chive sauce is so simple! Once you have the wild chives from the market, we recommend making it just before you’re about to eat. The fresher it is, the more vibrant the wild chive aroma will be, making it even more delicious. This single sauce will make your spring meals much more abundant!
