Stretchy Cheese Bomb! The Ultimate Corn Cheese Recipe for Beer Snacks or Late-Night Cravings
Microwave in 5 Minutes! The Golden Recipe for Mozzarella Corn Cheese Everyone Loves
Introducing a magical corn cheese recipe that has become my husband’s favorite beer snack and my go-to late-night treat during my pregnancy. It’s simple yet guaranteed to be delicious! The sight of the cheese stretching endlessly will surely make your mouth water.
Main Ingredients- 1 can (approx. 300g) canned corn
- 50g mozzarella cheese (adjust to your preference)
- 3 Tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- A pinch of parsley flakes (for garnish)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, gather all the ingredients needed to make corn cheese. Canned corn, mozzarella cheese for that rich flavor, mayonnaise and sugar to add sweetness and creaminess, and finally, parsley flakes to enhance the aroma! Just looking at them makes your mouth water, right?
Step 2
It’s crucial to drain the liquid completely from the canned corn using a sieve. Place the corn kernels in a bowl, then add 3 tablespoons of mayonnaise and 1 tablespoon of sugar. Mayonnaise will coat the corn, adding richness and moisture, while sugar will further enhance the corn’s natural sweetness.
Step 3
Now, use a spatula or spoon to mix the corn, mayonnaise, and sugar thoroughly until well combined and no lumps remain. The key is to coat each corn kernel evenly with the sauce.
Step 4
The amount of mayonnaise needed can vary slightly depending on the size and moisture content of the corn kernels. After mixing, check the consistency; it should be moist enough to hold together, like in the photo, but not too watery. If you prefer a creamier texture, feel free to add a little more mayonnaise.
Step 5
Transfer the seasoned corn mixture to an oven-safe dish or a frying pan, and generously top with mozzarella cheese. The mozzarella I used was in block form, so I cut it with scissors into bite-sized pieces before placing it on the corn. Adding plenty of cheese ensures that wonderful stretchy cheese pull later!
Step 6
Now it’s time to cook everything. If using a frying pan, cook over low heat with the lid on for about 5 minutes. Covering the pan allows heat to distribute evenly, melting the cheese beautifully and warming the corn through. If using a microwave, you can transfer it to a microwave-safe container and heat for 1-2 minutes.
Step 7
After 5 minutes, your steaming, cheese-laden corn cheese is ready! Finally, sprinkle with parsley flakes to your liking for an even more appealing look and richer flavor. Freshly made, warm corn cheese with its incredible cheese pull is a perfect match for beer, and it makes an excellent snack for kids or a satisfying late-night treat. Enjoy your delicious creation!
