Let’s Make Delicious Cream Pasta Simply at Home!
You can make delicious and simple cream pasta at home with this recipe! Nowadays, pasta sauces are readily available and affordable. I recently used a cream cheese pasta sauce I bought during a 1+1 sale at Homeplus Express to make a super simple and tasty cream pasta. It’s a great dish for any day, not just special occasions!
Ingredients- Cream cheese pasta sauce: 4 Tbsp
- Spaghetti noodles: 1 serving (about the size of a 500-won coin)
- Bacon: 4 strips
- Onion: 1/2
- Milk: 1/2 cup
- Cheddar cheese slice: 1
- Salt: a pinch (for boiling pasta)
- Black pepper: a pinch (for garnish)
- Dried basil: a pinch (optional)
- Olive oil: 2 Tbsp
- Minced garlic: 1 Tbsp
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, bring a pot of water to a boil. Once boiling, add about 1/2 tsp of salt and cook the spaghetti noodles. Cook them for about 1 minute less than the time indicated on the package, as they will finish cooking in the sauce.
Step 2
While the pasta is cooking, cut the bacon into bite-sized pieces (about 1-2 cm wide). Peel and thinly slice the onion.
Step 3
Heat a deep skillet over medium heat and add 2 Tbsp of olive oil. Once the pan is warm, add 1 Tbsp of minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
Step 4
As soon as the garlic becomes aromatic, add the sliced onion and bacon to the skillet. Sauté them together until the onion becomes translucent and the bacon is lightly browned.
Step 5
Once the ingredients are well sautéed, add about 4 Tbsp of the cream cheese pasta sauce to the skillet. (You can adjust the amount depending on the type of sauce you’re using; most cream sauces should work well.)
Step 6
Carefully pour in 1/2 cup of milk. Adding milk will make the sauce creamier and richer.
Step 7
For extra flavor and creaminess, tear or cut the cheddar cheese slice and add it to the sauce. The cheese will melt, making the sauce even more delicious and smooth.
Step 8
Simmer the sauce until it thickens. After adding the milk, avoid boiling on high heat to preserve nutrients; cook over medium heat. Once the sauce starts to bubble, add the cooked spaghetti noodles. Stir well to coat the noodles evenly with the sauce. Cook for another 1-2 minutes, ensuring the sauce doesn’t get too thick, then turn off the heat. (If the sauce becomes too thick, you can use a little of the pasta cooking water to adjust the consistency.)
Step 9
Transfer the finished cream pasta to a serving plate. Garnish with freshly ground black pepper and a sprinkle of dried basil, if desired, for added aroma. Enjoy your homemade cream pasta!
