Main Ingredients- 700ml Water
- 1 Tbsp Bone Broth Concentrate (or 700ml Store-bought Bone Broth)
- 2-3 pieces Chicken Breast
- 10 whole Garlic Cloves
- A portion of Green Onion
- A pinch of Black Pepper
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
In a pot, combine 700ml of water with 1 tablespoon of bone broth concentrate. If you don’t have concentrate, you can use 700ml of store-bought bone broth soup. (If using concentrate, ensure the total liquid volume is 700ml by adjusting water if needed.)
Step 2
Add about 10 whole garlic cloves to the pot. This helps to remove any gamey odor from the chicken. While optional, it significantly enhances the clarity of the broth.
Step 3
Add 1/3 tablespoon of salt for basic seasoning and bring the mixture to a boil.
Step 4
Once the broth is boiling, add the chicken breasts. Two pieces of chicken breast are usually sufficient, but three will make for a heartier portion. (If you have leftover chicken breast, feel free to add all three.) If the chicken breast is completely frozen, simmer for about 15 minutes. If it’s thawed, it should be fully cooked in 12-13 minutes.
Step 5
When the chicken breast is cooked through, remove it from the broth along with the whole garlic cloves.
Step 6
While the chicken breast is still warm, shred it finely using your hands or tongs. Shredding it along the grain will result in a more tender texture.
Step 7
Since many bone broth concentrates are not pre-seasoned, taste the soup and add more salt if needed to achieve your desired flavor. Adjusting the seasoning to your preference is key.
Step 8
Return the shredded chicken breast to the simmering broth and cook for another short while. This allows the chicken to absorb the rich flavors of the soup.
Step 9
Finally, add a generous amount of chopped green onions and simmer briefly. This step adds a fresh, aromatic layer to the soup.
Step 10
Ladle the finished chicken soup into a deep serving bowl.
Step 11
Finish with a good sprinkle of black pepper, if desired. Your warm and nourishing Chicken Breast and Bone Broth Soup is ready to be enjoyed! Eat well and stay healthy. ♥
