Homemade Pineapple Cream Sandwich: Moist Fruit Sando Cake Recipe
Let’s make a delightful Pineapple Cream Sandwich that’s perfect as a hearty snack for kids or a satisfying meal. The combination of fresh pineapple and smooth whipped cream will bring joy to your taste buds!
Ingredients- 1 cup fresh pineapple, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 8 slices soft bread
- 200ml cold heavy cream
- 2 Tbsp granulated sugar
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
While a strawberry cream sandwich cake boasts beautiful colors, today we’re making an even more special cream cake by adding sweet and tangy pineapple! This recipe is one of our family’s absolute favorites.
Step 2
First, pour 200ml of cold heavy cream into a bowl and add 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar. Using a hand mixer or a whisk, whip the cream until stiff peaks form. Sugar is crucial for stabilizing the cream and adding sweetness.
Step 3
A stand mixer will make this process much faster and easier, but it’s not essential. If you don’t use it often, whipping by hand is a great alternative. As you continue whipping, the cream will gradually gain volume and develop a smooth, luscious texture. Whip until firm peaks hold their shape.
Step 4
Now, trim the crusts off each slice of bread. This step ensures a softer texture for the sandwich. Using a spoon or spatula, spread a thick, even layer of the whipped cream onto one side of each bread slice. Applying a generous amount is key to prevent the fruit’s moisture from soaking into the bread.
Step 5
Arrange the fresh pineapple pieces, already cut into bite-sized portions, attractively on top of the cream-covered bread. Carefully place them so they don’t shift. Then, generously dollop and spread more whipped cream over and around the pineapple. Ensure the cream covers the edges of the bread for extra deliciousness. Finally, place another slice of bread on top to complete the sandwich.
Step 6
Wrap the assembled sandwich tightly with plastic wrap. This will help maintain its shape and prevent the cream from oozing out the sides. Instead of cutting it immediately, it’s crucial to chill the sandwich in the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes to allow the cream to set firmly. This step is essential for a clean cut.
Step 7
After 20 minutes in the refrigerator, the cream will have set nicely, making the sandwich stable. Now, cut the sandwich into your desired serving size and shape. Using a serrated knife (bread knife) will help you cut cleanly without squishing the bread. You can cut it into four or two pieces for a neat presentation.
Step 8
Your refreshing fruit and creamy Pineapple Cream Sandwich is now complete! Beautiful to look at and delicious to eat, this sandwich is perfect for special occasions or as an everyday treat to make your day a little brighter. Enjoy!
