This is an incredibly simple pie, baked to a soft and savory perfection using just potatoes, eggs, and cheese, without any special additives. Ingredients- 130g Boiled Potatoes
- 1 Egg
- 1 slice Cheese
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Place the potatoes in boiling water and cook for about 30 minutes, or until they are completely tender and soft all the way through. You can check for doneness by piercing them with a fork; it should go in easily.

While the potatoes are still warm, transfer them to a bowl. Use a fork or a potato masher to mash them thoroughly until smooth and lump-free. Ensure there are no large pieces for the best texture.

Prepare the egg wash by cracking one fresh egg into a separate small bowl. Whisk it gently with a fork or whisk to break up the egg white strands until well combined.

Line your baking mold (muffin tin, small pie dish, etc.) with parchment paper or lightly grease it. Spread the mashed potatoes thinly and evenly across the bottom of the mold. Aim for a smooth, consistent layer.

Pour the prepared egg wash evenly over the mashed potato layer. Top this with the slice of cheese, tearing or cutting it into pieces as desired. The cheese will melt beautifully as it bakes, adding a wonderful savory flavor.
