Main Ingredients- 1 pack Silken Tofu (approx. 200g)
- A handful of Chives (approx. 1 Tbsp, finely chopped)
- 3-4 sheets Seasoned Seaweed (Kim)
Silken Tofu Soy Sauce Dressing Ingredients- 0.3 Tbsp Minced Garlic (approx. 1/3 tsp)
- 1 Tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
- 2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1 Tbsp Oligosaccharide (or honey)
- 1 Tbsp Perilla Oil (or sesame oil)
- 1 Tbsp Water
- A pinch of Sesame Seeds (for garnish, optional)
- 0.3 Tbsp Minced Garlic (approx. 1/3 tsp)
- 1 Tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
- 2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1 Tbsp Oligosaccharide (or honey)
- 1 Tbsp Perilla Oil (or sesame oil)
- 1 Tbsp Water
- A pinch of Sesame Seeds (for garnish, optional)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare all the ingredients for the dish. Finely crumble the seasoned seaweed with scissors as it will be used for topping. Measure out 0.3 Tbsp of minced garlic and set aside. If you have chives or green onions, wash them thoroughly and chop them finely.
Step 2
Next, let’s cut the silken tofu into bite-sized pieces. Carefully remove the packaging. Cut the silken tofu in half and then slice it into pieces about 1 to 1.5 cm thick. Avoid slicing them too thinly to maintain a good texture.
Step 3
Now, shall we make the delicious soy sauce dressing? Start by placing 0.3 Tbsp of minced garlic into a small bowl or dressing container.
Step 4
Add 2 Tbsp of soy sauce to the bowl. Use regular soy sauce, not soup soy sauce.
Step 5
Add 1 Tbsp of oligosaccharide for a touch of sweetness. If you don’t have oligosaccharide, honey or sugar can be used as a substitute.
Step 6
For a refreshing flavor, add 1 Tbsp of apple cider vinegar. Using a fruit-infused vinegar will enhance the aroma.
Step 7
Add 1 Tbsp of perilla oil for a nutty aroma. While sesame oil can be used, perilla oil offers a cleaner taste.
Step 8
Mix all the dressing ingredients added so far thoroughly using a spoon or a small whisk. It’s important to stir gently to ensure the ingredients are well combined without any clumps.
Step 9
To adjust the dressing’s consistency and taste, add 1 Tbsp of water.
Step 10
Finally, add a pinch of sesame seeds and mix lightly once more. An important tip here: The saltiness can vary depending on the type and salt content of your soy sauce. Taste the dressing and if it’s too bland, add more soy sauce. If it’s too salty, increase the amount of water slightly to adjust the seasoning to your preference.
Step 11
Arrange the prepared silken tofu nicely on a wide plate or serving dish.
Step 12
Drizzle the prepared soy sauce dressing evenly over the silken tofu. Make sure the dressing coats the tofu well.
Step 13
After drizzling the dressing, artfully place the finely chopped chives on top of the silken tofu. The green color of the chives adds visual appeal.
Step 14
Lastly, sprinkle the finely crumbled seasoned seaweed over the center of the tofu. The saltiness and crispness of the seaweed complement the silken tofu perfectly.
Step 15
Optionally, sprinkle a little more sesame seeds on top. Your healthy and delicious diet meal, Silken Tofu with Soy Sauce Dressing, is now complete! Enjoy your meal!
