Treat yourself to the ultimate home-cooked chicken! This recipe involves massaging chicken pieces with olive oil, then air frying them alongside hearty potatoes, sweet potatoes, and carrots. The result? A chicken that’s incredibly crispy on the outside and wonderfully moist on the inside. The carrots caramelize into sweet, honey-like bites, while the potatoes become delightfully crispy yet fluffy. It’s a perfect, crowd-pleasing meal!
Main Ingredients- 1 whole cut-up chicken for frying (approx. 1kg)
- 2 medium sweet potatoes
- 1 medium potato
- 1 medium carrot
Seasoning- 5 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp herb salt (or salt and pepper to taste)

Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, wash the chicken pieces thoroughly and pat them dry. In a bowl, combine the chicken with 5 tablespoons of olive oil and 1 teaspoon of herb salt. Gently massage the oil and salt into the chicken, ensuring it’s coated evenly. Letting it marinate for at least 10 minutes will enhance the flavor.
Step 2
Wash the sweet potatoes, potato, and carrot well. Cut them into substantial, bite-sized pieces (you can leave the potato skin on for extra texture). Arrange the marinated chicken and the prepared vegetables in the air fryer basket.
Step 3
Set your air fryer to 200°C (400°F) and cook for a total of 35 minutes. Every 10 minutes, carefully open the air fryer and flip the chicken and vegetables. This ensures even browning and prevents any part from burning.
Step 4
Once the chicken is golden brown and the vegetables are tender, your delicious meal is ready! Serve immediately for the best crispy and juicy experience. Feel free to serve with your favorite dipping sauces!
