Basic Ingredients- 250g hotcake mix
- 200ml milk
- 1 egg
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare the basic ingredients for the hotcake batter. You’ll need 250g of hotcake mix, 200ml of fresh milk, and 1 egg.
Step 2
Pour the prepared hotcake mix, milk, and egg into a mixing bowl with a bit of depth.
Step 3
Using a whisk, stir the ingredients until the batter is smooth and free of lumps. Ensure no dry flour remains.
Step 4
Lightly grease your air fryer basket or a baking pan with butter or a thin layer of oil. This prevents the batter from sticking.
Step 5
Carefully pour the prepared hotcake batter into the greased pan. Aim for an even thickness rather than pouring too high.
Step 6
Sprinkle your chosen nuts over the batter. This will add a delightful crunch and nutty flavor.
Step 7
Place the batter in the air fryer and bake at 180°C (350°F) for an initial 10 minutes. It’s best to start with a moderate temperature rather than cooking at a very high heat for too long.
Step 8
Check the batter’s doneness after 10 minutes. The inside might still be a bit raw, so it will likely need more cooking time.
Step 9
Keeping the temperature at 180°C (350°F), continue to bake for another 10 minutes. This brings the total cooking time to about 20 minutes.
Step 10
If after 20 minutes, the egg flavor is still strong or the center seems undercooked, bake for just a little bit longer. Be careful not to overcook, as it can become dry and crumbly.
Step 11
Finally, bake for an additional 5 minutes. The total cooking time will be 25 minutes. The surface should now be a beautiful golden brown.
Step 12
After a total of 25 minutes, remove the hotcake from the air fryer. The outside will be satisfyingly crisp, like a scone, while the inside remains wonderfully moist – perfectly cooked!
Step 13
While the hotcake is still warm, place a piece of butter on top. The melting butter will enhance the flavor. Drizzle 3-5 tablespoons of sweet maple syrup over it, according to your preference.
Step 14
Enjoy your warm and delicious nutty hotcakes! ^^
