First, let’s prepare the star of our potato pancake: the potato! Choose a medium-sized potato, peel it thoroughly, and wash it under running water. Then, slice it into thin pieces about 2mm thick. Cutting them thinly is important, as thicker slices will take longer to cook.

Now, julienne the sliced potato into thin strips, about 2mm in thickness. Aim for a consistency similar to thick noodles. Julienne strips will provide a pleasant texture when cooked.

Let’s get the bacon and cheese ready to add flavor to our pancake! Prepare 50g of mozzarella cheese. You can use any type of mozzarella you prefer. Chop the bacon into pieces about 1cm thick. Having these ready will make the next steps go smoothly.

Now, let’s gently mix all the ingredients together. Using a spoon, carefully combine the potatoes, bacon, and cheese in the bowl until they are evenly distributed. Try not to clump the ingredients together as you mix.

Let’s heat the pan. Pour a generous amount of vegetable oil into a frying pan and preheat it over medium heat on the stovetop.
