Main Ingredients- 200g premium thinly sliced Korean beef (bulgogi cut)
- 150g fresh chives
- 1 bell pepper (any color, for vibrancy)
- Vegetable oil, for cooking
Perfect Dipping Sauce- 1 part Soy Sauce (use a measuring cup or spoon for ratio)
- 1 part Vinegar (same ratio as soy sauce)
- 1 part Sesame Oil (same ratio as soy sauce and vinegar)
- A pinch of sesame seeds
- A small amount of finely chopped chives (optional)
- 1 part Soy Sauce (use a measuring cup or spoon for ratio)
- 1 part Vinegar (same ratio as soy sauce)
- 1 part Sesame Oil (same ratio as soy sauce and vinegar)
- A pinch of sesame seeds
- A small amount of finely chopped chives (optional)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare the vegetables. Remove the seeds from the bell pepper and julienne it into 5cm long strips. Trim the fresh chives to about 5cm in length as well. Now, take a slice of the thinly sliced Korean beef and lay it flat. Place a small bundle of the prepared bell pepper strips and chives onto one end of the beef slice. Carefully and tightly roll the beef around the vegetables, ensuring they are enclosed. The thinness of the beef will help it wrap snugly.
Step 2
Heat a skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat and add a sufficient amount of vegetable oil. Once the oil is shimmering, carefully place the rolled beef bundles into the pan seam-side down if possible. Cook the rolls, turning them occasionally, until they are golden brown and slightly crispy on all sides, about 2-3 minutes per side. You’ll notice the savory aroma of the beef mingling with the fresh scent of the chives as they cook.
Step 3
Arrange the beautifully cooked Korean beef bulgogi rolls on a serving plate. For the dipping sauce, whisk together soy sauce, vinegar, and sesame oil in a 1:1:1 ratio to create a balanced flavor profile. Stir in a pinch of sesame seeds and the optional finely chopped chives for added aroma and texture. These rolls are delicious when dipped into this sauce, enhancing the natural flavors of the beef and vegetables with the savory, tangy, and nutty notes of the sauce. Enjoy this exquisite dish during your holiday celebrations or any special occasion!
