Ultimate One-Pan Toast
Tired of Dishes? Make ‘One-Pan Toast’ with Zero Hassle!
Incredibly simple to make, yet tastes like a gourmet meal! This recipe is perfect for busy mornings or a quick, satisfying snack.
Main Ingredients- 1 slice of Bread
- 2 Fresh Eggs
- 1 slice of Cheese (Cheddar, Mozzarella, etc., to your liking)
- 2 Tbsp Canned Corn Kernels
- Your favorite Sauce (Ketchup, Mayonnaise, Hot Sauce, etc.), to taste
- 1 Tbsp Butter for flavor
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Crack the two eggs directly into the pan. Take your slice of bread, fold it in half, and dip both sides into the runny egg in the pan, allowing it to soak up the egg. Then, carefully place the egg-soaked bread onto the frying pan.
Step 2
Let the eggs cook undisturbed over medium-low heat. You’ll see the bottom of the bread turn golden brown and the eggs start to set. Keep an eye on the heat to prevent burning.
Step 3
Once the bottom of the egg is mostly cooked and the top is still slightly runny, use a spatula to carefully flip the entire bread and egg assembly over. Ensure the bread side is now facing down in the pan.
Step 4
If any of the egg mixture has spread out around the edges of the bread, gently fold it inward with your spatula as it cooks to create a neat, sandwich-like shape.
Step 5
On top of the cooked egg, place your slice of cheese. Any type of cheese works well! Shredded cheese melts beautifully, so feel free to use that if you have it. If cheese isn’t available, don’t worry, it’s still delicious without it.
Step 6
Now, add your desired toppings over the cheese. I’m adding 2 tablespoons of sweet corn kernels here, but feel free to add other ingredients like cooked bacon, ham, or your favorite vegetables for extra flavor and texture.
Step 7
Drizzle your favorite sauce(s) generously over the toppings. I personally love the classic combination of ketchup and mayonnaise, but hot sauce or even a BBQ sauce would be fantastic too. Get creative with your sauce choices!
Step 8
Once all your fillings are in place, carefully fold the bread in half to enclose the ingredients, creating a stuffed toast. In a separate clean pan or after wiping the first one, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Place your folded toast into the melted butter and cook for a few minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy. This final buttery sear gives it an irresistible crunch and richness. Enjoy your perfectly crafted one-pan toast!
