  • 2 squids (cleaned)
  • 2 stalks of scallions
  • 1/2 onion
  • 2 Tbsp minced garlic
  • 3 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 2 Tbsp red pepper flakes (gochugaru)
  • 1-2 Tbsp red pepper paste (gochujang, adjust to taste)
  • 3 Tbsp cooking oil
  • Sesame oil, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Heat 3 tablespoons of cooking oil in a pan over medium heat. Add thinly sliced scallions and stir-fry quickly until fragrant. This process creates the aromatic scallion oil base for the dish.

Mix well and let it marinate for about 5 minutes.
