Main Ingredients

  • 500g Vienna sausages
  • 6 pieces chicken tenders (store-bought)
  • 2 shiitake mushrooms (optional, if you have them)
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn, etc.)
  • 1/2 medium onion

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, add 1-2 tablespoons of cooking oil to a pan and preheat over medium-low heat. Depending on your preference, make 2-3 slits on the Vienna sausages or cut them into a cute octopus shape. If you have shiitake mushrooms, wash them, pat dry, and thinly slice.

Step 1

Step 2

Peel the onion and cut half of it into 6 wedges. Do not thaw the frozen mixed vegetables; have them ready. Stir-frying a variety of vegetables together makes the dish visually appealing and nutritious.

Step 2

Step 3

Prepare the chicken tenders directly from frozen. It’s convenient to cook them without thawing. If the tenders are large, you’ll cut them into bite-sized pieces during cooking using scissors or a knife, so have them ready. (Tip: Lightly baking them in an air fryer beforehand will add extra crispiness.)

Step 3

Step 4

Add the prepared Vienna sausages, shiitake mushrooms, and onions to the preheated pan and stir-fry briefly. Once the sausages start to turn lightly golden, add the frozen vegetables and continue to stir-fry. When the vegetables are about halfway cooked, place the chicken tenders in the pan.

Step 4

Step 5

Now, add all the sauce ingredients: tomato ketchup, oyster sauce, sugar, lemon juice, basil, and pepper. Mix well. Increase the heat to medium and stir-fry until all ingredients are thoroughly combined. As the chicken tenders cook and soften, use scissors or a spatula to cut them into bite-sized pieces (about 2-3 cm). The dish is ready when the Vienna sausages are plump and slightly puffed, and the vegetables are tender-crisp.
