After making pasta, I had about three strips of bacon left and wondered how to best enjoy them. That’s how this ‘Bacon-Wrapped Tofu Roll’ was born! Simply cut the tofu into bite-sized pieces, wrap them with bacon, and pan-fry for a delightful dish that’s crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The combination of savory bacon and mild tofu is simply wonderful. These rolls are not only a great side dish for everyday meals but also perfect for packing in a lunchbox. First, prepare your tofu (1 block) and bacon (6 strips). It’s best to use firm or extra-firm tofu, suitable for pan-frying.

Removing excess moisture from the tofu is key. Wrap the tofu block in paper towels and press gently, or place it on a wire rack over a bowl for about 10 minutes to drain thoroughly. Well-drained tofu will hold its shape better and won’t fall apart when cooked.
