Ingredients- Smoked duck, 2 servings (approx. 200-250g)
- Spaghetti, 2 servings (approx. 160-200g)
- Red chili (optional, for spice), a little
- Cabbage, 1 large leaf
- Oyster mushrooms, 1/2 handful (approx. 50g)
- Mozzarella cheese, generously
Seasoning & Others- Minced garlic, 1 Tbsp
- Spaghetti sauce (tomato-based), 5 Tbsp
- Minced garlic, 1 Tbsp
- Spaghetti sauce (tomato-based), 5 Tbsp
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Prepare to cook the spaghetti by boiling plenty of water. Meanwhile, lightly pan-fry the smoked duck slices on both sides until golden brown. The duck will release its own fat, so no extra oil is needed. Be careful not to overcook it.
Step 2
Finely shred the cabbage. Tear the oyster mushrooms into bite-sized pieces or finely chop them if you prefer a softer texture.
Step 3
Once the water is boiling, add a pinch of salt and cook the spaghetti according to package directions until al dente (firm to the bite). Drain the pasta well.
Step 4
Heat a pan with a little olive oil. Add the shredded cabbage, chopped oyster mushrooms, and minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant. If you like a spicy kick, finely chop and add the red chili at this stage.
Step 5
Add the cooked spaghetti and tomato spaghetti sauce to the pan with the sautéed vegetables. Stir well to combine all ingredients with the sauce. Cook for another 1-2 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld. You can add a tablespoon or two of pasta water to help the sauce emulsify and coat the noodles beautifully.
Step 6
Serve the pasta onto plates. Top generously with the pan-fried smoked duck slices. Sprinkle with plenty of mozzarella cheese. Serve immediately while the cheese is melted and gooey for the best experience.
