Ingredients- 2 Hibiscus tea bags
- 450ml Hot water
- 50ml Fresh lime juice
- 50ml Sugar syrup
- A few fresh mint leaves (for garnish)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
In a teapot or heatproof container, pour 200ml of hot water and add the 2 hibiscus tea bags. Let it steep for about 5 minutes to extract a rich flavor and deep color. Be careful not to over-steep, as it can make the tea bitter.
Step 2
In a separate bowl, combine 50ml of fresh lime juice and 50ml of sugar syrup. Stir well. You can adjust the amount of syrup to your preference. Add a few lime slices to this mixture and microwave in 30-second intervals, three times (total 1 minute 30 seconds). This gentle heating enhances the lime’s aroma and helps it meld beautifully with the syrup.
Step 3
Remove the tea bags from the steeped hibiscus tea. Pour the warmed lime and syrup mixture into the tea. Stir everything together thoroughly. Then, add the remaining 250ml of hot water and mix again until well combined. You can adjust the total amount of water to achieve your desired strength.
Step 4
Pour the finished Lime Hibiscus Tea into serving glasses. Garnish with a few fresh mint leaves for an extra touch of freshness and visual appeal. Enjoy this delightful drink warm or chilled, just the way you like it!
